Deloitte Dynamic Business of the Year Award
The Deloitte Dynamic Business of the Year Award is in its sixth year. As in previous years, the recipient of the award will demonstrate creativity, innovation and the ability to adapt. This year however, Deloitte will focus particularly on businesses that have positioned themselves to take full advantage of more benign market conditions as the local economy shows signs of improvement.
Deloitte, one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms, said: “We are delighted to be involved in the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards. Our Reading office provides a comprehensive range of professional services, and specialises in advice for dynamic, entrepreneurial businesses. The Deloitte Dynamic Business Of The Year Award is evidence of our commitment to the Thames Valley business community.”
Deloitte’s Ian Barton, head of Corporate Finance Advisory in the Thames Valley and leader of the category’s judging panel, explains “Local businesses have had to adapt to survive the extremely challenging market conditions of recent years and we are aware that has meant tough decisions for many. Equally, we have adapted this award to suit the prevailing circumstances. This year, we will focus on local companies that have the demonstrated flexibility and vision to position themselves for what we all hope will be a steady improvement in economic conditions,” he said.
“We feel confident there will be a strong field of contenders who have each challenged themselves to emerge from the downturn with energy and enthusiasm and as winners in their chosen markets. We look forward to sharing that positive outlook with them.”
As usual, Barton is keen to see entries to the Deloitte Dynamic Business of the Year Award from a variety of sectors. He recognises that the word dynamic is often associated with hi-tech companies, but says several of the recent finalists have come from other industries. “No matter what industry you are in, if you are doing something a little bit different and being successful at it, then we want to hear from you,” added Barton.
Entries for the Deloitte Dynamic Business of the Year Award will be accepted until September 28th 2012. Finalist companies will be invited to the gala awards night in Reading on November 15 2012, when the winner and second and third places will be announced. The winner will receive a prestigious trophy for their reception or boardroom. It will also be featured in The Business Magazine and enjoy wide-ranging media and PR opportunities.
