Welcome to the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards 2020

The leading multi-category awards event in the region

The Thames Valley boasts some of the most dynamic and successful companies in the UK. It remains the cauldron of the country’s high-technology industries, the home of many manufacturing companies and a base for a wide variety of excellent service and professional organisations.

The Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards  (#TVBMA) is open to every company in the Thames Valley area and recognises not only profitability, innovation and employment but also the contribution made to the local economic community and the provision of support to culture and charities in the region.

“Winning this award is a great honour and I’m glad I have brought most of my management team here today, because they are a big part of our success over the 30 years that we have been running.”

MD Chris Pritchard, AVK-SEG - Dynamic Business Award winner

“It’s great to be recognised that we have something a little bit special at Ultima, and not just once but twice at this Awards evening in two very important categories for us.”

Client experience director Dave Rogers, Ultima Business Solutions - winner of Business of the Year and Best Use of Technology & Innovation

“This award is a massive benefit for us, especially within my region. It will enable us to build and establish more awareness of Make-A-Wish within Thames Valley businesses and organisations.”

Sarah Shearman, regional fundraising manager, Make a Wish Foundation - Winner of Charity of the Year

‘Winning the Charity Of The Year Award 2017 was an honour and a wonderful boost to our dedicated team who work so hard to improve all-round quality of life through enabling disabled people to access technology for communication, leisure, creativity and inclusion. The rigorous judging process and outstanding quality of finalists makes winning the award an all the more remarkable recognition and endorsement of our work. To receive that acknowledgement from the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards has been hugely valued and appreciated.’

‘diamond was thrilled to win the TVBMA in 2017 particularly against such stellar competition. It’s a great pat on the back for our team, amazing publicity and a great night out to boot. The contacts and networking opportunities that have arisen since then have been constructive too. Go for it!’

Diamond Logistics, Winner of SME of the Year

For the first time, Westcoast has topped the TV250 list of the largest privately owned companies in our region.  So together with The Business Magazine’s most prestigious award of The Business of the Year – everyone at Westcoast can be truly proud.  It seems fitting that Westcoast should enter our local regional awards given our size and growth rate and we were all delighted that the judges looked at all the dynamism, excitement and social conscience that Westcoast gives to all our stakeholders both here in Theale and across Europe and awarded Westcoast their top prize. Westcoast looks forward to many years leading the UK’s most vibrant region and showing the rest of the country just what a fabulous place the Thames Valley is to do business.  I would recommend these awards to any business.

We aim to lead by example – with a culture of openness and education on wellbeing and mental health. We have implemented various strategies to achieve this, with varying success – so it was uplifting to find out that our programme was on the right track and we have used this as a great platform to build on!
